BarcodeManager provides a full-scale solution for the license partners of GS1 Hungary for the fast and simple GS1 standard-based identification and barcode generation in everyday use.

You can create, store, and share your GS1 standardized identification numbers and other data that belong to the identified units (product, document, transportation unit, physical location etc.). You can allocate barcodes and labels based on identification numbers according to GS1 rules and business partners’ needs.

BarcodeManager adds help for:

  • allocating identification numbers

  • generating various types of GS1 standardized barcodes

  • storing product- and manufacturing data

  • accessing data from anywhere, anytime, for multiple users at the same time

The BarcodeManager completely replaces the NumGen (Számkiadó) software.

HTML v5-specific web browser is a prerequisite to use BarcodeManager. Use of older web browser (IE9-) may cause visibility or file upload issues. Supported browsers: Google Chrome (v40+), Microsoft Edge (v88+), Mozilla Firefox (50+), Apple Safari (v10+), and Opera (v40+).

Menu structure

If you have a valid license, you can log into the BarcodeManager platform with your GS1 contact email address and your password.

After successful login, you access the Main page, where the main menu bar on top of the page contains the main functions of BarcodeManager.

The user-specific menus are on the top right side, in the navigation bar.

The Main page provides an overview about demanded GS1 company prefixes keys and about user activities in BarcodeManager.

Hotkeys adds ease access to the main functions of the BarcodeManager. Statistics provides a general overview about the use of the BarcodeManager ordered by date.

The Main page of BarcodeManager gives an overview of your demanded GS1 company prefixes according to your GS1 license contract and the BarcodeManager system activities that your company made so far.

The next functions are available on BarcodeManager homepage:

  • Main identifier functions: handling of GTIN, GLN lists, modification, searching in the list, adding new records, import/export functions.

  • Functions for Logistics: SSCC list handling, modification, searching in the list, import/export functions. Adding new transport unit.

  • Functions for other identifiers: handling of GDTI, GSRN, CPID and GIAI lists, modification, searching in the list, adding new records, import/export functions.

  • Functions for labels/reports: handling, downloading, printing labels, reports export.

  • Functions for UDI numbers: handling of GMN and UDI-DI GTIN lists modification, searching in the list, adding new records, import/export functions.

  • General settings and settings for number generation rules: handling user profiles, background tasks and requesting company prefix.
